Rhian Moore is the Head of Programs at CAPE, where she oversees high-touch, impact-focused initiatives that champion Asian American and Pacific Islander diversity in entertainment. Notable programs she oversees include the CAPE New Writers Fellowship and the CAPE Leaders Fellowship, and the CAPE Animation Directors Accelerator. She played a key role in launching the CAPE Showrunners Incubator, the CAPE Emerging Executives Committee, and filmmaker grants such as the Julia S. Gouw Short Film Challenge in partnership with Janet Yang Productions and most recently the CAPE x TAAF Rising Filmmakers Finishing Fund. She also helped expand CAPE globally, overseeing the launch of the inaugural Beyond Japan -Filmmaker- Program in partnership with the Japan External Trade Organization.
A second-generation Burmese American from the San Gabriel Valley, Rhian graduated from Pomona College with a BA in Music, where she wrote her thesis on Burmese music in diaspora. Her experience also includes a Fulbright Award in Ipoh, Malaysia, where she used a United States Embassy grant to launch a statewide music education initiative for secondary school students. Before joining CAPE, Rhian worked at grassroots nonprofit organizations to drive Asian American political engagement during the 2020 Census and Election, focusing on communities in Orange County and the Bay Area.
